Beyond Our New Jersey Shores

In 2008 the Board of Directors of Anambra State Association of New Jersey, a 501c((3) charitable organization, voted unanimously to embark in an effort to promote education in Anambra State. The challenge to this noble venture was the modalities required to maximize the resources that will be dedicated and at the same time reach the grassroot communities.

The solution to that challenge was the involvement and empowerment of the members to initiate, supervise and deliver the benefit to their respective communities in Anambra. So, every year at it's annual anniversary banquet, the organization conducts lottery drawing to select three towns from the pool of eligible towns. Members from the winning towns receive a check in the amount of $1,000 to execute an education related project in their respective towns in Anambra State.
